It's one of the most ingenious, original and downright addictive puzzle games since, well, the original Tetris itself. Puzzle League does a nice job of updating everything with the Pokemon license-fans will appreciate all the characters Nintendo packed in from the cartoon, plus the voices and even some FMV.

Pokémon Puzzle League is a game created based on the Puzzle League series of Intelligent Systems. However, this version is a little bit different with the special participation of Pokémon. The game was developed by Nintendo Software Technology and released by Nintendo. As the name suggests, the game belongs to the Puzzle category.
The story begins at Ash Ketchum’s holiday, with Pikachu beside him. It was a call from Professor Oak. He informed Ash that he was one of the lucky people that had been selected to be a challenger in the prestigious season: the official League Tournament. After hearing the news, Ash rushed to the village where the event was about to hold, Pokémon Puzzle League Village, along with his yellow mascot, Pikachu.
The mission throughout the game is to defeat eight different enemies from eight Kanto regions. The first opponent that the player must defeat immediately after participating in this adventure is Gary. Opponents will then be Tracey, Team Rocket, Giovanni, and others. However, after defeating each of the opponents, the player will receive the corresponding badges. If the character succeeds in defeating all of them, he or she will continue to face off against the famous quartet, the Elite Four. However, Ash will realize that the Elite Four is not such a formidable opponent when he meets Puzzle Champion, who is said to be the strongest. No one else, it is a familiar name, Gary, whom Ash Ketchum challenged right from the beginning. If Ash can defeat this guy, then he will then receive a trophy. He will be led to another dimension then, where Mewtwo is located. And you will only really win when the last boss, Mewtwo, is defeated.

In addition to the main character mentioned above, Ash Ketchum, the player can choose other characters. The number of that the game owns is quite diverse when it reaches up to sixteen in all. However, in 1P Stadium mode, the player can only choose the character Ash initially. Later, when completing levels with different difficulties, many more Pokémon and players can be unlocked as you like.
Throughout the game, the main goal the player must aim for is to arrange them so that the rows can have at least three identical blocks. After each move, the blocks will increase continuously. Quickly remove these blocks if you do not want them to rise to the top, meaning you will lose.
